Wake up to the quiet rhythms of rural Peru. In the morning, set out on a hike (or optional horseback ride) to hidden waterfalls in a unique canyon setting. Later, climb the Twin Volcanoes for sweeping views of the valley.

After lunch and some rest, continue with a hike to Mirador de Antaymarca, located atop an abandoned citadel built with petrified lava. From here, enjoy unforgettable views stretching toward the Colca Canyon.

This morning, visit Laguna Mamacocha, a stunning spring-fed lagoon considered the world’s largest natural spring. With luck, we may spot the elusive Andean otter. Adventurous / experienced travelers may swim in its refreshing waters.

After lunch, drive through rugged canyon country toward the famed Colca Canyon. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to relax at your accommodation or soak in the hot springs nearby.

We rise early to visit Cruz del Condor, the most iconic viewpoint in Colca Canyon. Here, condors can often be seen gliding majestically above the canyon walls.

Afterward, we head to the town of Chivay for lunch and, if not visited previously, another chance to relax in the hot springs. In the afternoon, drive across the highlands back to Arequipa, arriving in the early evening.
